Serbian Council of Great Britain and Markson Pianos
Piano recital by Nada Kolundžija (Belgrade, Serbia), an internationally renowned concert pianist and Serbia’s most prominent performer and passionate promoter of contemporary music. Nada performed on tour in USA, Canada, Chine, Mexico and India, and played in Hungary, Holland, Thailand, Germany, Spain, Ukraine, Austria, Italy, RomaniaGreece, France and ex-Yugoslav countries.
Nada’s concert appearances and recordings are sometimes marked by her performance of toy piano, prepared piano, piano using voice, and recorded sound matrices. She has developed large and small performances around unusual multimedia concepts, and has collaborated with other leading artists from the fields of music, theatre and dance who share her enthusiasm for exploring the edge of contemporary art. Her concert resume includes many Serbian and world premieres, and she personally commissioned or inspired the creation of significant new works by Serbian and international composers.
The concert is supported by Lola Perrin (composer / pianist ) whose work Piano Suite I – Early One Sunday Morning will be performed. The programme also includes works by Serbian composers Dusan Bogdanovic, A Little Prayer and Milos Raickovic, Winter Waltz as well as Etudes by Philip Glass, Waltz by Anton Batagov, Tango Voices by William Duckworth, Tango: Ms. Jackson Dances for the People by Scott Pender and works by George Ivanovich Gurdjieff / Thomas de Hartman (Meditation, Holy Affirming – Holy Denying – Holy Reconciling Prayer and Despair).
