  Petar Jankovic, President

Petar Jankovic was born in Belgrade in 1937.
He obtained a BA [Hons] degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University in 1960.
From 1965, Petar has pursued a career in the City. A trustee of Serbian Society for several years, and a representative for Great Britain in Diaspora Council in 2002-2003, Petar has served as President of the Serbian Council of Great Britain since its inception in 2004.
 
  Milos Stefanovic, BEng Hons, PhD, MBA, Vice President

Born in Belgrade in 1972, Milos arrived to the UK in 1991. He studied at the University of Surrey where he obtained a Bachelor's and then a Phd in Engineering and Satellite Communications. In 2000 Milos joined Citibank, where he is currently a vice president providing corporate finance for power, energy, chemicals, metals & mining corporations in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Milos has been actively involved with the Serbian community in the UK for a number of years. He also heads the financial network of young Serbs in the UK and is a member of the British-Serbian Business Council.

  Jelena Bosanac, Secretary

Jelena was born in Belgrade in 1979. After moving to the US in 1994 to finish high school, she continued her education at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She graduated Cum Laude as a Bachelor of Science from the McDonough School of Business in 2001. Jelena started her carreer in Foreign Exchange at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York where she worked for three years. She moved to London in 2004 to pursue an opportunity at Lehman Brothers where she currently works as a foreign exchange options trader. Jelena is one of the founding members of the Serbian Finance Club in London.

  Nikola Cobic, BA, MSc

Born in 1975 in Belgrade, Nikola arrived to Great Britain in 1991, where he acquired a degree in business studies and marketing. At the same time he has also successfully pursued his other interest - poetry and writing. In 2003 he started the Wolf, a magazine for new poetic writing. In the Council his sphere of activity is in the cultural section and he is also a member of the website sub-committee.

  Marta Jankovic

Marta was born in Belgrade. She lived in Germany and Australia, prior to moving to the UK in 2005. Marta obtained her degrees in Arts (German Studies) and Law at the University of NSW in Sydney, Australia in 2001. She has been representing Australia and, since 2006, Great Britain at the Board of the Diaspora Council of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. She has written for, organised and presented at several conferences designed to promote business opportunities in Serbia. Marta is a solicitor and has spent 6 years practicing corporate, financial services and investment fund law with a number of international law firms, including Baker & McKenzie and SJ Berwin LLP. Marta now works in London as legal cousel for SVG Advisers, a private equity investment management and advisory business.

  Ivan Miletic, BEng

Born in Belgrade in 1967, Ivan arrived to the UK in 2007 after 10 years in New York, US. He studied at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Belgrade University where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical engineering. In 2004 Ivan joined Savvis, where he is currently a Program Director working on projects with major financial organizations.

  Maja Momcilovic Jordan, MA

Born in Belgrade, where she completed her training at Musical Academy, Maja settled in Britain in 1996. An acclaimed pianist, she performs as well as teaches. In 1998 she founded The Sounds of the Balkans group. In the Council, she is involved mainly with Arts, cultural events and networking amongst the artistic Serbian community.   Marina Petrov-Stoykovich, MA

Marina Petrov-Stoykovich MA - is a well-recognized classical pianist and piano professor and teaches for various educational establishments throughout the UK. She lived and studied in Yugoslavia and the USSR where she obtained her music diplomas at the Moscow Conservatoire and Music Academy in Belgrade. Marina gained her Master Degree in Music at City University after permanently moving to London in 1989.
Apart from her teaching and performing career, Marina established herself as an organizer and promoter of musical events, gaining rapid popularity on the busy music scene. In 1999, she was among the first Serbian musicians in the UK to organise a classical concert in aid to hospitals in Serbia during the NATO bombardment of Yugoslavia. Marina successfully made her mark in contemporary music society, helping young artists to further their careers and raising funds for various charities. Her remarkable work has been widely noticed both internationally and in the British press including The Times. In 1992, she was also invited to contribute to “International Who's is Who in Music and Musicians”. See further in Serbian Artists in UK.

  Olga Stanojlovic, MBE

Born in Wiltshire in 1954 to émigré Serbian parents, Olga completed a history degree and teacher training at the University of Warwick. Soon afterwards, she joined the British Council, where she is currently Director of Communications, Education and Training Group. For her outstanding achievements in developing relations with Africa and Eastern Europe and in the field of education, she was awarded an MBE in 2001. She is the Secretary of the Father Nikolich's Settlement Trust, a charity aimed at promoting the Serbian Orthodox faith in Britain.

  George Tokos

Djordje was born in 1968 in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. As a child he lived in Bor, Serbia, and returned to England in 1991, where he worked in the voluntary sector. Djordje is now a partner in the company Tokos Solutions and the Secretary of the church committee of the Serbian Orthodox Church, St John the Baptist in Halifax. In the Council, he is involved with membership policies and promotion of the Council’s work in the North of England.
